The Day Has Come. The Countdown Begins.
Tomorrow, a select group of runners will receive priority registration access for Epic Trail 2027, ahead of the public opening on 8 June at 10:00 AM.
Some of you have been with us from the very beginning. Back when, with less than a month to go before the first edition, only ten participants had registered. Back when Marbella Epic Trail was little more than an idea and a dream shared by a handful of people who believed mountain running could still be raw, authentic and unforgettable.
You believed...
And because of that belief, in just three editions Marbella Epic Trail has reached runners in more than 20 countries and earned a reputation as one of the toughest ultras in its category in Spain.
The stories on our website tell that better than we ever could. They were not written by marketers. They were written by survivors, finishers and runners who discovered something about themselves somewhere between the darkness of the night and the summit of La Concha.
Perhaps one day your story will be there too, inspiring the generations that follow.
More than 35,000 people have viewed our official 2027 race poster. No paid advertising. No marketing campaigns. Just runners sharing something they believe is worth talking about.
That tells us there is something special happening here.
Not because of the race itself.
Because of the people who make it what it is.
Those who stand on a summit in complete silence. Those who hear their breathing above the wind. Those who look down towards Marbella from high above La Concha and realise that after everything they have already overcome... they are only halfway there.
That moment cannot be explained.
It can only be lived...
2027: A New Chapter Begins
For 2027, Marbella Epic Trail continues to grow.
Alongside the legendary Epic Trail, two new challenges join the family:
Tragapiedras
35.3 km
Destroyer
41.5 km
For years, many runners have asked how they could begin their Marbella Epic Trail journey before committing to the full ultra experience.
Now there is an answer.
Not everyone starts at the summit.
Every mountain is climbed one step at a time.
The road to discovering your true limits does not begin in heaven. It begins much lower. It begins with doubt, effort, mistakes and perseverance.
It begins on what we like to call the Stairway to Hell.
Because only by descending into discomfort can you discover what you are truly capable of becoming.
Tragapiedras leads to Destroyer.
Destroyer leads to Epic Trail.
And Epic Trail leads somewhere that no medal, ranking or finish photo can fully describe.
Loyalty Matters
Starting with the 2027 edition, new registration rules will recognise those who have supported Marbella Epic Trail from the very beginning.
This event belongs to everyone who helped build it. Participants, volunteers, supporters, partners and local communities.
Those who believed first should always have a special place in its future.
