Marbella Epic Trail was my first race of the 2025 season... As always, my goal was to enjoy the adventure and make friends along the way. Marbella Epic Trail delivered fully on every front, and I can't wait to come back and relive this beautiful, demanding race in the future.

I really enjoyed Sierra Blanca this weekend. The race looked interesting "on paper", but it exceeded all my expectations. It was very demanding and technical, with fantastic organisation. And that friendly, inclusive atmosphere after the race is what I like most. For me, Marbella's trails are the real luxury of this place.
Honestly, I promise you it's, to put it mildly, the most technical race I've done so far, for sure... come well prepared, and it's not 65 kilometres... it's like a 100-kilometre race, it's a real ultra of an ultra...
The course is, as you know, Sierra Blanca, spectacular. Very professional organisation, incredible volunteers, and a very tough, very technical race from start to finish, and it's an opportunity — it's one of those 65-kilometre races in Spain with 10,000 metres accumulated, and I say accumulated because the 5,000 of ascent and the 5,000 of descent are equally difficult...
The most beautiful and hardest race of my life. At the @marbellaepictrail Ultra Trail, I faced a mountain. A real one. This is one of the toughest trails in Spain. Skirting the limits. Respecting the mountain. No disappointments. Only pride.
Demanding terrain... The Destroyer race takes you through steep climbs, rocky descents and winding trails. Not for the faint of heart... From pine forests to panoramic views, every step is a treat for the eyes.
If anyone is thinking about taking part next time in Sierra Blanca, in Marbella, they'll love it. It's a demanding race, with plenty of elevation gain, but it's very well organised, there's a great atmosphere at the finish, the views from the peaks are magnificent, you can see the whole coast — it's a spectacular race.
...a spectacular race. Probably the most technical in Andalusia right now, and it's worth being here and enjoying it, enjoying Sierra Blanca, Sierra Canusha... Full marks, and let's have more races like this — the kind we're probably missing in the south, these hard, demanding races — because until now many Andalusian runners have had to travel north or to the rest of Europe to run this kind of race, and those of us who enjoy technical terrain want MET to have a long life.
An epic adventure I'll never forget, one that knocked me down, made me stronger and left an indelible mark on my heart. It wasn't just a race, it was emotion, determination, doubt, faith and everything in between. An adventure that tested me in many ways and reminded me how much strength we have when we refuse to give up.
For me it was a personal challenge because I had never faced a test of this kind before; there was a moment when my legs gave out and I had to draw on courage, heart and head. In the end I achieved something I sometimes thought I wouldn't. It was hugely rewarding, beyond crossing the finish line and stopping the clock... that feeling makes you want to come back.
If you're looking for a great challenge in a wonderful setting to test your limits, Marbella Epic Trail is your race. I've never known an ultra marathon so hard, but also so beautiful. Sierra Blanca is already, and will always be, in my heart.
Epic, as its name suggests, is epic. Without a doubt, it's the most technical, demanding and beautiful race I've taken part in. The combination of all these factors makes it one of the toughest races in the country. Finishing it and managing to tame the beast has been an incredible experience. See you at the next edition.
